How to participate!
1) Register your name and email by clicking HERE to receive a downloadable tracker and invite to the YMCA Together and Away Virtual 5K on the MapMyRun app.
2A) Create your fundraising page by clicking "Click here to join" on the "Participate with Fundraising" sign up page.
2B) Don't want to participate yourself? You can support a participant or team by clicking "Fundraising supporter", locate who you want to support and click "Join as Member" in the top box to create your personal fundraising page.
3) After creating an account, you will receive an email link to finish setting up your fundraising page (be sure to check your junk mail folder if you don't see it right away). On your fundraising page set your fundraising goal and add your own story of why you are raising money.
4) Invite your friends, family members, and co-workers to support gettin' together while staying apart. Post your fundraising page on your social media for all your Facebook and Instagram friends to see you are supporting your community while social distancing. Email or text your contacts asking them to support you in strengthening your community.
5) Get ready for your 5K with free Get Fit Friday workouts live on Facebook hosted by Tina @YMCAINW October 16th, 23rd, and 30th 12:30pm - 1:00pm.
6) Log your distance or steps on the downloadable tracker, or in the MapMyRun app between October 31st and November 6th. You can walk, run, bike, swim, however you choose to move while socially distancing for 5K.
7) Celebrate that you completed the YMCA Together and Away Virtual 5K and helped to fund programs for those most vulnerable at this time.
