Please join us in raising money for the YMCA. These funds go to support the thousands of people in our community that the Y helps every year. From kids in early learning classes and swim lessons to senior citizens on fixed incomes, the Y welcomes everyone in their doors regardless of their financial resources.

The YMCA’s largest fundraising event of the year returns for another exciting day of biking, walking, and all-around fun in support of the Y’s work to help those in need. Join over 1,000 other generous and fun-loving Friends of the Y as we raise money for important needs in our community like:

Tim Quirk

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in May of 2014 (5 months after retiring from work).

A friend told me about the spinning class offered at the Y for Parkinson's patients.  This exercise program is based on documented evidence that fairly strenuous exercise over an extended period has the potential to assist with balance/mobility and may even slow the progression of this disease.

Our local Y offers this spinning class for Parkinson's patients (with guests always welcome) where we meet 3 times each week, and  individually strive to challenge ourselves over a 40 minute period to average a minimum speed of 80 RPM, preceded and followed by warm-up exercises and cool-down/stretching techniques,

I salute the Y for offering this class and for providing such fantastic instructors.  This class has made a positive difference in my life and I am most grateful.
